Green Offset

Green credentials

Learning to drive is an essential life skill and many people need a car for day to day life but this effects our environment so Green 4 Go has taken the responsible step of offsetting carbon dioxide emissions by supporting the Tree Appeal in the South East.

Tree Appeal uses the local knowledge and expertise of tree planting partners to ensure the right trees are planted in the appropriate places. The trees are planted in school grounds, reserves and managed woodland were they will live their natural lifespan and meet their biodiversity targets.

Each tree planted helps to offset your environmental impact by "breathing" in CO2 emissions as it grows. The trees also provide sustainable habitat for wildlife and will enhance the natural landscape with native broad-leaved trees.

Green 4 Go has pledged to plant four native broad-leaved trees and through the ‘Tree Buddying’ scheme we will also offset four tons of CO2 through a Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) project. VCS aims to be the global bench mark standard for project based voluntary emission reductions.

Lessons are given in an energy efficient Hyundai i10 powered by a 1.1-litre petrol engine, giving an official average fuel consumption figure of 56.5mpg. An emissions figure of just 119g/km means it sits in Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) band B.
